Breeding Coenobita Variabilis

After my first attempt at raising the zoea, zoea2, and megalopa, I decided that at least for my own benefit that I should document the journey.

The ins and outs, mistakes and wins will be available here with the hopes of raising awareness for hermit crabs worldwide. I hope that as we raise awareness of captive breeding, that we also make a positive impact on reducing the numbers of hermit crabs captured from the wild.
